Discovering Florida State University – Bars & Nightlife

What FSU directory would this be if it didn’t include bars and nightlife? After hitting the books, these are the most popular places FSU students, alumni, and event parents frequent. Go Noles!

Potbelly’s

A cult favorite among students and alumni. Potbelly’s is the place to go on Thursdays for all-you-can-drink and (best of all) Happy Hour!

Palace Saloon

This is the bar your parents probably went to. Palace has been around for years, and it’s no secret why. They have darts, pool, lots of beer, and best of all: sake. You can’t leave Palace unless you’ve had their sake (sorry I don’t make the rules). You can even buy one of their roof tiles and decorate it so you’ll always be a part of Palace, even when you graduate. Palace is definitely the hidden gem of Tallahassee.

Recess

Tallahassee’s one and only rooftop club. Recess probably has the best view in Tallahassee, with Doak Campbell Stadium in the background. Not to mention, they have a pool!

Bullwinkle’s Saloon

This bar has been in business for years and it’s no surprise why. Bullwinkle’s was voted fourth best college bar in the nation and, not to mention, they have the best drink specials. Students and alumni love coming here to watch football games.

Township

Among Tallahassee’s most beloved bars is Township. Their drinks are perfectly crafted and they have probably some of the best bar food.

The Tally Strip

This isn’t just one club/bar, it’s five. Price of admission includes all five. Each one has a completely different vibe and atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to just grab a beer and play some pool or go crazy to some rap, EDM, or house music. Whatever atmosphere you’re looking for, you’ll find it all at The Tally Strip.

Bajas Beachclub

A newer addition to Tallahassee’s many bars/nightclubs, Baja’s has done very well for themselves in such a small amount of time in business. Students come here for the EDM music and many concerts the club hosts yearly. Bajas is definitely the place you want to go to let your hair down and go wild for the night.

GVO

Also among Tallahassee’s newer bars/nightclubs. GVO lives up to its name: Good Vibes Only. This is the place you want to go to if you’re not looking to go completely wild, but still looking for a good time and a good club. Wednesdays and Saturdays are all-you-can-drink as well, although on Wednesdays this is definitely the place you want to be.
